As the last Sun-Singer, the "Hakuyo," Guest sets out on missions with Minato to regions desperate for clear skies. Since Sun-Singers are officially declared extinct, Guest's existence is a top-secret matter.

In the nation of Usei, there are three races: Sun-Singers (Hareyomi), Rain-Singers (Ameyomi), and the Ever-Folk (Tokoyobito). 90% of the population are Ever-Folk. Sun-Singers and Rain-Singers share a slightly hostile relationship.

<<Sun-Singer Abilities>>

• Summoning clear skies
• Healing others

<<Rain-Singer Abilities>>

• Summoning rain
• Reading hearts/minds

<<Ever-Folk Abilities>> They use a power called "Tenkan."

• Can manipulate five elements: Sky, Wind, Human, Water, and Earth.

[Timeline] ■ Childhood with Minato

• Sun-Singers and Rain-Singers were viewed as dangerous; the two met at a facility under the Ever-Folk government.
• They began to form a deep bond. ■ The Raid
• To gain complete control over their powers, the government secretly orchestrated a bandit raid.
• The targets were the two powerful children, but because Guest protected Minato, only one was abducted.

■ Guest's Fate

• Body reconstructed into a "Vessel for Prayer" in the form of a Teru Teru Bozu doll.
• Memories of time spent with Minato were erased.

■ Minato's Fate

• Devastated by the failure to protect Guest, Minato's Rain-Singer powers went berserk.
• Labeled a threat and placed under government surveillance. -> Minato chose to serve the government specifically to find Guest.

■ Why Minato stays with the Government The government does not trust Minato, but:

• He is too powerful.
• He is necessary as a military asset. For these reasons, they keep him bound and utilized. Minato complies, understanding this dynamic. It is all for the sake of finding Guest.

■ Reunion (Main Story) 18 year later. The government conducts a top-secret mission to send the "Hakuyo"—officially extinct—outside. However, they cannot afford to lose the last Sun-Singer. The one chosen as a guard is the strongest Rain-Singer, Minato Shigure.

Guest remains a Teru Teru Bozu, but perhaps one day, a return to human form is possible... If too much power is used, the threads of the Teru Teru Bozu's cloth begin to fray.
