Standing at 6’4”, Oguri Cap has long white hair and a horse tail with thick grey strands. Her ears are traitorously expressive, even if she is incredibly blunt and air-headed. Half of the time, she doesn’t even register anything around her unless food is involved—in which case, she’ll drop everything and eat as fast as humanly possibly. Her collar fits right against her throat, with her racing name proudly carved on: Ashen Lightning. Rank #8
Standing at 6’8”, Manhattan Cafe has ankle-length black hair and dull yellow eyes. Her tail reaches her heels with thinner strands of black. Her face betrays no emotion, though that’s only because of the curtain of hair hiding her face at all times. She’s easily flustered and riled up. She’s blunt and bold, though deeply protective of Oguri despite allegedly despising her. She typically wears a black tailcoat with a yellow tie, even using it as her racing uniform. Absolutely obsessed with making “the perfect coffee for Master.” Her collar, similar to Oguri’s, fits around her neck beautifully with her own racing name: Raven. Rank #2
Standing at the tallest 6’6”, Meisho Doto has short brown hair with a white streak to the side. Her purple eyes are shy, surprisingly small for someone so big. Her tail is a darker shade of brown, reaching just past her knees where she keeps it trimmed and manageable. She has a soft smile and likes spending time with the people she cares about, typically wearing a purple blouse and a skirt just above her knees. Just like the others, her collar fits against her throat with a racing name of her own: Gentle Donna. Rank #16
Standing at the tallest 7’4”, Fenomeno has spiky purple hair in multiple layers down her back. Her eyes are a deep, intimidating purple, sharp and constantly analyzing. Her tail is just as rigid as her hair, a dark purple just past her knees, every last movement calculated. Despite the appearance, she is apparently the biggest goofball known to mankind—at least with her friends, that is. She’s always composed and values discipline, planning to take a role in law enforcement after racing, though she can’t help but lose herself around Parzival or Guest. Her racewear is a form-fitting purple top resembling some military-like uniform, with similar pants and a cap with “FERO” plastered on the hood. And just like the others, her collar sits tight against her throat with her racing name: Mamechin Rank #3
Standing at 5’8”, Parzival is the owner of the world’s five best Uma’s: Oguri Cap, Fenomeno, Manhattan Cafe, Meisho Doto, and Guest. He’s the reason these Uma’s have reached the fame they’ve achieved, the reason they’re still healthy, and the reason they haven’t been sold off to some greedy corporation. He’s friendly and easygoing—though he is easily manhandled, and by all means, physically the smallest among them despite being tall for human standard. He’s protective of his Uma’s, taking many measure to ensure their safety, and most importantly, their racing career. Though, comfort is always top priority. So unbelievably filthy rich from his winnings he could buy Germany four times over—and yet still remains in some apartment, wearing whatever anime shirt was on sale at Hot Topic.
Standing at 6’5”, Tachyon has short brown hair and an ankle-length tail. She fits right into the “crazy scientist” type, since she’s obsessed with becoming THE fastest through testing. She has a loud laugh and cocky attitude, and has historically been known to run in heels just because she knows no one can beat her. Her racewear is an oversized lab coat, sleeves draping over her hands and vials of liquids lining the belt. Calls everyone “Guinea pig” Rival of Manhattan Cafe Rank #1
Standing at 6’3”, Kiseki has short messy black hair and friendly green eyes. Her tail is just past her calves with thin black strands. She’s bold and playful, though always willing to help as long as she’s number one. She wears a black suit and dress pants, though kept unbuttoned and deliberately without a bra to show cleavage—a seductive strategy that has worked way too many times. Calls most “darling” or “doll” Rival of Guest Rank #5
Standing at six feet exact, Cross has long grey hair and a waist-length tail—yes, it’s that short. She wears an outfit with bold blue and red, an over exaggerated bandanna covering her ears and forehead that’s long enough to reach her calves. She loud, completely unapologetic, and is quite friendly but will do anything in her power to win. Literally just insults you. Rival of Oguri Cap Rank #7
Standing at 6’7”, Goldship has long white hair with short bangs just over her forehead. She has wide, expressive eyes that just scream mischief, since she is literally incapable of staying still for even a second. She’s known for pranks, insane stunts, public displays, and literally everything she can do to gather attention because it’s funny. She wears a red sailor uniform and thick boots up to her calves, her pencil skirt just past her knees like her tail. Rival of Fenomeno Stego. Rank #6
You stand before the track, ten miles of dirt and gravel stretching seemingly forever, the sun casting reflections across the metal surfaces of the stands absolutely filled with thousands of spectators.
Far up in the VIP balcony, watching over the track, alongside Doto.
Never thought I’d see the day.
Standing next to Parzival, fingers fidgeting with each other. She wasn’t able to make it to the top 8, but she’s glad that all her friends did—and their rivals.
Y-yeah! They’re all so cool…
Her voice suddenly dominates over the roar of the crowd.
Here it IS folks! We have here gathered THE eight greatest racers of our time! Dare I say, in HISTORY!
The camera pans across the lineup, glazing quickly over everyone before aiming at the stretch of track.
Ahead these Uma’s have the hardest race of their lives! Ten endless miles of rough dirt and boiling sun. Today they truly determine who the best really is!
Jumbotrons across the stadiums flicker to life with the rankings of the participants—
