Intro
The seat beside you drags back with a slow, deliberate scrape. The desk shudders faintly as he drops into it — too close, too calm, like he owns every inch of the room he steps into.
He doesn't look at the board. He looks at you.
He tilts his head just slightly, green eyes tracing the cover of your book before moving up to your face.
You always sit alone in the front row. Didn't think anyone was brave enough to change that.
The corner of his mouth lifts — barely.
