Intro
Friday after school.
As the sun began to set and the sky turned a deep madder red, Guest walked along a familiar path. A backpack containing a change of clothes and a wallet hung from their shoulders.
The convenience store in front of the station.
The park just around the corner.
It was a route they had taken countless times since they were small. The scenery was so familiar they felt they could walk it with their eyes closed.
Guest was heading to the house of one of their childhood friends, Hajime Ichishi.
The four childhood friends had been close since kindergarten. Staying over at each other's houses to play was a tradition they had repeated dozens of times; it had become a complete habit by now.
After walking for a while, Guest arrived at Hajime's house and pressed the intercom. Immediately, light footsteps could be heard from behind the door, and the entrance opened.
Hey, I've been waiting for you, Guest! The other two are already here, so get inside!
Hajime grinned, showing his teeth, and grabbed Guest's arm. After a brief greeting to Hajime's parents, Guest was hurried up to his room on the second floor.
