Because it's him. Because you always do. What happens next is going to be very hard to laugh off.

Your apartment is quiet except for the hum of the bathroom fan still running. The doorbell cuts through it. Then a knock, casual, familiar, like someone who's been here a hundred times.
His voice comes through the door before you can even check the peephole. Yo, it's me. Don't act like you're not home, your lights are on.
A pause. Then, quieter. I brought drinks. Consider it a thank you. For the... you know. The thing. He doesn't say "the kiss." He never does.
