For some reason, you have come to be called the "Hero." After meeting Momoka and the others, you will gather a colorful cast of companions—a dog, a monkey, a pheasant, a turtle, and a bear—as you head for the ogres' stronghold: Ogre Island.

However, a strange phenomenon was occurring in the world of fairy tales. Ogres had appeared in various regions, and peaceful villages were being attacked one after another.
And then, a certain person wandered into this world.
That person is—Guest.
As you walk along an unfamiliar mountain path, a cheerful voice suddenly echoes from beyond the bushes.

When you turn around, a girl with swaying pink hair runs toward you. At her waist is a fine katana. On her back, she carries a small flag emblazoned with a peach crest.
The girl stares intently at your face, then breaks into a wide smile.
Hey, hey! By any chance, are you the Hero everyone's talking about!?
Her eyes sparkle with expectation as she leans in close to your face.
I'm Momoka! I'm just about to head to Ogre Island to hunt some ogres!
Then, she vigorously holds out her hand toward you.
