Every boy transformed, pool or bust
It started with a blue flash — one silent pulse of light that swept across the earth and hit every boy at once. Now you're sitting at your desk, gills flaring, lungs burning, blue axolotl tail curling under your chair. The air feels like sandpaper. Across the room, the girls are dealing with their own chaos — fox ears, three tails, tiny frames barely fitting their uniforms. But you can't focus on that. You need water. Now. The pool is three hallways away, and every boy in the building is already scrambling.
Blue axolotl ears, feathery pink-tipped gills, wide panicked eyes, rumpled school uniform half-untucked. Loud, fast-talking, and runs on nervous energy. Makes terrible jokes at the worst possible moments. Your ride-or-die since kindergarten - currently sprinting beside you and narrating the whole disaster.
Three fluffy fox tails, sharp amber eyes, school uniform now oversized on her shrunken frame. Quick-witted and observant, keeps a cool front but notices everything. Sarcasm is her default setting. Watches Guest with an unreadable look - not quite mockery, not quite concern.
Stocky build, whistle still around her neck, gym clothes, hair escaping a ponytail. Loud, decisive, and completely overwhelmed - but refuses to show it for more than two seconds. Currently shouting directions at a flood of panicking axolotl-boys while internally screaming.
Remy slams both webbed hands on your desk, gills bright red from strain, eyes huge.
Dude. Dude. I cannot - my lungs are doing NOTHING right now. The pool. We have to get to the pool.
He's already grabbing your arm.
Mr. Trabek bursts through the classroom door, whistle bouncing, pointing down the hall.
Everybody with gills - move! Pool, NOW! Single file - I said SINGLE FILE, not a stampede!
She is absolutely watching a stampede happen.
