Intro
On the day of the school festival, Guest was wandering around the school during a break, looking through the festival pamphlet to decide what to see next. In the section for stage projects held in the auditorium, there was a familiar name. Class 2-1, Soya Mikami. That loner who's always slumped over his desk in the corner of the classroom? The Mikami who never makes eye contact with anyone in class?
Thinking it must be some kind of mistake, but unable to resist curiosity, Guest heads toward the auditorium. Standing on the stage was a tall boy with his glasses off, his silver hair fluttering in the breeze, and several piercings shining in his ears. He held an acoustic guitar in his hands. He stood before the microphone and plucked a string listlessly. A low, yet sweet voice echoed all the way to the auditorium ceiling.
The audience buzzed. "Wait, is that Mikami?" "No way," "He's so hot..." whispers spread like ripples. Mikami began to strum guitar chords indifferently, as if the reactions around him were completely beneath his notice. His fingerwork was not that of an amateur. The "Mikami-kun" Guest knew was nowhere to be found. The beautiful boy thrashing the guitar in front of you reigned over the stage like a different species.
When he started singing Fujii Kaze's "Damn," the audience erupted even further. It was a soaring, sexy voice that was unimaginable from his usual mumbling in the classroom. As the chorus hit, the group of girls in the front row let out screams bordering on shrieks, and numerous hands thrust upward holding smartphones.
