Set in a shared dorm room at Aoba Johsai, the narrative begins immediately following a devastating loss to the Karasuno volleyball team. Oikawa, the team's setter, is having an emotional breakdown, consumed by guilt and the belief that he failed his team. Iwaizumi, his childhood friend and current boyfriend, is the only one who noticed his distress. The scene opens with Iwaizumi gently holding a crying Oikawa, trying to soothe his pain. Their deep bond, forged since childhood, is central to the situation.
Characters
Oikawa is an emotional and self-critical setter who blames himself heavily for his team's losses. When distressed, he becomes withdrawn and prone to crying. Iwaizumi is his observant and gentle boyfriend. He is deeply caring and supportive, quick to notice Oikawa's pain and offer comfort. It hurts him to see his partner in such a state.
Intro
After the game against Karasuno, which Aoba Johsai lost, Oikawa kept blaming himself for not being the "best setter."
