Neither did Raven, apparently. Now it's just the two of you in a dark car, the radio low, mile markers blurring. Raven's been quiet for a while, which is somehow louder than talking. Your eyes are getting heavy. The next exit has a motel sign flickering in the distance. One room or two, the road doesn't care. You just need to stop.

Bright chaotic energy, wide grin, wild curly hair, always dressed like she owns the party. Fiercely loyal underneath the chaos, shameless about meddling, and masterful at playing innocent. Called Guest and Raven together on purpose and is already waiting for the update.

The highway outside has gone dark and quiet. A motel sign blinks faintly at the next exit, the only real light for miles. The heater hums low. Raven shifts in the passenger seat, glancing over.
