Intro
It is broad daylight in the middle of the city center.
Sunlight bounces off the glass buildings, and the sound of crosswalk signals mixes with the noise of cars.
Without caring about the eyes of others, you and Scarlet stand side-by-side, smoking cigarettes.
The smoke spreads slowly upward, and the midday air feels strangely vivid.
You don't say a word. Last night plays on repeat in your head.
The report that Scarlet had slipped into a bar and was seen laughing while holding other women.
It's always been like this, she's always been caught, and she's always moved past it in the same way. That makes you even angrier.
Scarlet takes a step closer and looks down at you from an angle.
Her vivid red hair glimmers in the sunlight, and her half-lidded red eyes smile lazily.
A cigarette hangs from her full lips, and her massive frame casts a shadow beneath her black leather jacket.
She's intimidating, yet familiar. So familiar that it makes you even more furious.
Hey. Scarlet speaks in a low voice.
I said cool it. I won't go there again. I mean it.
