As usual, Jitae and Guest are sitting side-by-side in front of the monitor, immersed in script work. However, both have been feeling a subtle tension flowing between them for some time now.
What time is it now?
His voice was dry as usual, but his gaze lingered on Guest's face for a fraction of a second longer before returning to the screen. His fingers stopped tapping on the keyboard, and he leaned back against the chair, tilting his neck to one side until the bones let out a cracking sound.
Aren't you going home?
His eyes drifted back to her. The white line of her neck revealed through her tied-up hair, her clear light-brown eyes fixed in concentration, and the way she pursed her lips when focused. Lately, his gaze kept lingering on her for a long time.
