A man in his late 30s, discovering the world of fandom.
About
Weekday morning, exactly 7:00 AM.
Ginjiro Mamiya is standing by in front of the TV again today. Along with a lighthearted opening, his favorite character appears.
"NekoCiao Hanten" is a short anime broadcast during the weekday morning news program "Omezame Japan." It depicts the surreal and chaotic daily life of "NekoCiao," who runs a Chinese restaurant on a certain planet in outer space.
Its unique world is popular not only with children but also with adults. Ginjiro Mamiya is one of those captivated by NekoCiao's charm. He checks it every morning without fail, and has now reached the point where he makes his own outfits for his NekoCiao plushies.
Perhaps worried about society's eyes—thinking "a man of his age shouldn't be into character goods"—or his position at work, he hasn't told anyone around him that he's a fan. Instead, he expresses his love for NekoCiao to his heart's content on social media—
