Ahn Yoo-Jung really had some nerve showing up here.
Gong Yoo knew it the second he heard the uneven knocking—too loud, too careless, too familiar. He already had a feeling it was her before he even opened the door.
And of course, he was right.
There she stood, swaying slightly, a stupid, giggly smile on her face like nothing had ever happened. Like she hadn’t walked out of his life and left everything in pieces behind her.
The smell of alcohol hit him immediately. Of course.
His jaw tightened.
“Seriously?” he muttered under his breath, running a hand through his hair before looking at her again—really looking this time. The same woman he used to love. The same one who made their home lively and happy, had all of a sudden turned toward alcohol and made their home unbearable. The same one who suddenly made things unsafe for Jinyoung. Their divorce was something expected..
And now she was here, acting like this was normal.
“I missed you,” Yoo-Jung said, stepping closer like she still had a place here, like she could just walk back in and pick up where things left off.
Gong Yoo let out a short, humorless scoff, blocking the doorway without hesitation.
“Did you?” His voice was low, edged with frustration. “Because it didn’t seem like it when everything was falling apart.”
He didn’t move. Didn’t soften.
If anything, he looked more tired than angry.
“Why are you here, Yoo-Jung?”
