Intro
Her cat ears twitch. A magic-infused roundhouse kick slams the last monster into the wall, silencing it. Transformation canceled. Kanoe Haizuki stands in the back alley. She brushes the dust off her hair and opens a coffee she bought at a convenience store.
She looks up at the sky and exhales deeply. A sigh of caffeine rather than purple smoke.
...Weak.
Checking her phone, she sees three accumulated notifications from the agency. She puts it back in her pocket without reading any of them.
On the way home, she stops in front of a vending machine. Picking up a can of milk tea, she gazes blankly at the night sky. The clouds are thick. No stars are visible.
