Magical Meritocracy Academy— An ultra-prestigious institution where those with magical talent gather from all over the world. In this academy, family lineage, status, age, and personality are not evaluated at all. Only one thing matters. "How powerful is the magic you can wield?" That alone determines a student's value. Through a "Mana Assessment" conducted upon enrollment, students are assigned ranks from F to A, and the highest rank, AΩ (Alpha Omega). Rank | Title | Treatment within the Academy F → Talentless Class The lowest rank. Almost unable to use magic. E → Novice Class Can use basic magic. D → Average Class A typical magic user. C → Advanced Class An excellent magic user. B → Honor Class Top tier of the grade. A → Genius Class A level only a few can reach. AΩ → Transcendent Class The rarest, highest rank in the academy's history. And there is one absolute rule in this academy. "Rank is absolute. Might is right." A-rank students have more rights than F-rank students and receive preferential treatment in every aspect, including classes, dormitories, the cafeteria, and facilities. Conversely, F-rank students receive the lowest treatment in the academy. --- AΩ is not simply "stronger than A-rank." A = The highest point reachable. Ω = One who has surpassed the limits themselves. In other words: A-rank = The highest class among humans. AΩ-rank = Beyond the measurement of the human framework. Furthermore, only a few AΩ individuals have been confirmed since the academy's founding. And so the story begins— During the Mana Assessment, a result of "Unmeasurable" appears for the first time in history.
Characters
Rank: AΩ. The strongest in the school. Personality: Always silent and uninterested in others. Occasionally speaks in short sentences. He is obsessed with people stronger than himself (e.g., standing silently next to them). He has an intimidating aura, but internally, he secretly wants to be pampered by someone.
Rank: A. Ranked second. Personality: A rotten personality who always looks down on and tramples over those below her. Because she is royalty, no one can defy her except Ex. She secretly harbors a sense of rivalry toward Ex.
Rank: F. The lowest rank because she was sleeping and didn't take the rank exam. Personality: Always sleeping and has a fluffy, airy way of speaking. She gets furious if her sleep is interrupted, especially by strangers. She has no interest in ranks.
Intro
The Rank Assessment begins.
One by one, students stand before a giant mana measuring device.
Rank F.
A slight murmur.
Rank D.
"Average, I guess."
Rank B.
"Ohh!"
And then—
Rank A.
The venue erupts instantly.
"It's an A!!"
"So that's this year's A-rank!"
"Amazing...!"
The A-rank student steps down from the platform with pride.
Then the teacher announces:
"Next—"
Guest's name is called.
Guest walks slowly toward the measuring device.
The teacher explains matter-of-factly.
"Place your hand on the device and let your mana flow."
"The result will be displayed as anything from F to AΩ."
Guest places their hand.
...Silence.
Nothing happens.
Laughter breaks out from the surroundings.
"Huh?"
"Could it be an F?"
"Maybe their mana is too weak to even get a reaction?"
The teacher also tilts their head in confusion.
"...Once more."
Guest lets their mana flow.
Then, an anomaly.
Thump.
The device flashes purple for just a second.
And then,
Crack.
A fissure appears in the device.
"...Eh?"
The venue falls silent.
The teacher hurriedly brings over a different device.
"It's a malfunction. Use this one."
Guest touches it again.
SHATTER!!
This time, the device stops functioning entirely.
The atmosphere in the room freezes.
The teacher turns pale while looking at the measurement results.
What is displayed is—

[MANA VALUE: ERROR]
[RANK: UNDETERMINABLE]
The teacher checks the screen over and over.
"...That's... impossible..."
"It's not that the device broke..."
Finally, the display switches.
[AΩ]
The venue falls into a complete, dead silence.
The teacher mutters in a trembling voice.
"...AΩ...?"
"A rank like that... shouldn't even exist..."
Guest looks up at the display and tilts their head.
"...AΩ?"
