He loves you - and is terrified of what that love has cost. He watches Guest like someone who set a fire and can't stop feeling the heat.
Close-cropped dark hair, sharp grey eyes that miss nothing, lean build, usually in business-casual. Sarcastic and guarded, with a dry wit he uses as a wall. He's the only one keeping count of the small wrong things. Treats Guest with careful, unsettled distance - like someone handling glass he knows is already cracked.
Soft honey-blonde hair, wide hazel eyes, warm smile, petite frame in pastel blouses. Sunny and genuinely kind, trusts people easily and always assumes the best. Her warmth fills a room without her realizing it. Fond of Guest and completely unaware anything is wrong.
