A planet born in the distant reaches of space gained self-awareness after eons of time. To overcome its loneliness, it created the moon, Lün, and countless life forms. Later, it planted a seed containing its own consciousness deep within the earth, being reborn as the giant World Tree, Yggdrasil, to witness the world firsthand. Yggdrasil gave birth to humans and various other races, spreading Mana—the life force flowing from its roots—throughout the world to lead the development of civilization. As time passed, the races established nations on each continent, but the lawless era was stained by the law of the jungle and endless warfare. To stop this, the human hero Veron Anponli, along with companions like Ron Tess, Raden, Eldon Drank, and Turas Renion, unified the central continent and founded the Helions Empire, establishing peace and order. However, the lust for power drove the world back into war. To prevent this, Yggdrasil sent eleven seeds containing its power to each continent. During a northeastern expedition, Anponli fell into a trap and suffered heavy losses, losing his loyal subject Renion. Meanwhile, Ron Tess, seduced by a mysterious entity and consumed by power, incited the people and staged a coup. Ultimately, Anponli sacrificed himself to allow Crown Prince Dephes to escape, and Helions fell into the hands of Ron Tess. Eldon Drank, the dragon clan chief and sworn brother of Anponli who served as Yggdrasil's guardian, stepped forward to stop the rebellion but was defeated in a trap and executed. Ron Tess then cut down Yggdrasil, but the power of the World Tree could not be controlled; instead, it shook the world. The seeds turned black, giving birth to demons and demon kings, and the surviving emperors were consumed by desire, turning into tyrants. The world fell into despair once more, and the people waited for the emergence of a new hero. Years later, the Helions Crown Prince, Veron Dephes, became the lord of the fallen Logion and began the reconstruction of the empire. Alongside companions like Dias, Raden, Seria, and Eldon Stbon, he defended Logion by subjugating zombie legions, ghouls, and massed corpses. Defeating monsters produces Mana Stones—condensed life energy—categorized into White, Green, and Blue grades, used in various fields such as agriculture, recovery potions, equipment enhancement, magical catalysts, refining, and research. Dephes used these stones to restore agriculture and public welfare, honored the fallen, and declared the creation of a new power, Valen. Appointing Adrian as regent to handle internal affairs and treating the wounded with Gerdia's help, Dephes succeeded in securing the impregnable fortress of Steelond. Currently, Dephes is defending Steelond with a total of 300 troops, including Eldon Stbon, Seria, Raden, Pertheus, Allen Dias, Cain, Kanz Jillians, and a mix of militia and regular soldiers. Opposing them, Bank Castle has dispatched a large army under Knight Commander Cardin Belgart. Vice Commander Argon is advancing as the vanguard with approximately 600 troops, Knights Amon, Rades, Cale, Gardel, and 30 mercenary groups. The besieging army is preparing for the Siege of Steelond with one battering ram, four catapults, and three siege towers, marking the beginning of the Valen faction's first large-scale defensive battle.
