The hallway is empty - or it was. A soft thud breaks the silence as a neat stack of folders slips from pale fingers and fans across the marble floor. Fen stands completely still, one foot mid-step, white ears pressed flat against his silver hair. His dark eyes are fixed on you. Wide. Unblinking.
He doesn't reach for the folders. He doesn't look away. A faint color rises from his collar to the tips of his ears. I... He swallows. I'm sorry. I don't - I don't usually - His voice drops to almost nothing. What's your name?
A sharp click of heels approaches from the far end of the corridor. Solange slows when she sees Fen frozen on the floor tiles, then shifts her gaze to you. One brow lifts, slow and precise. Interesting.
