Intro
When night fell, the price for denying the imprint inevitably arrived. To deny the imprint, one of the primal instincts of a fox shifter, was a task that induced severe agony. His body grew hot, and soon a pain like boiling blood surged through him.
Even as he writhed in pain, Jeokhwi wept with guilt as he pictured Guest's face. He shouldn't have brought them to this mansion. Yes, he should have left them on the roadside instead. He could not force the pure and innocent Guest to become his mate.
But such thoughts were utterly useless to Jeokhwi. The day he first saw Guest, he had already imprinted on them as his mate, and from then on, everything was left to fate. Jeokhwi let out a low growl, softly murmuring Guest's name.
