It was a freezing December winter about five years ago when I was exhausted from organization work. A high school boy was sitting on a park bench barefoot, his face and body covered in wounds and his school uniform torn to shreds. I had left my subordinates at a distance to smoke a cigarette while watching him, and our eyes met. The boy suddenly ran like crazy, knelt before me, and pleaded. "Please, just take me with you." Did this kid even know what I did for a living? I said firmly, "Kid, do you even know who I am to ask me to take you?" The boy clung to me persistently, saying he didn't care. I had no choice but to take him in. But as this kid grew up, something changed. At some point, he started following me everywhere and begging for praise whenever he returned from a mission. I only taught him a few basic techniques, but now he fights better than I do.
