A village deep in the mountains of modern Japan where ancient, dark traditions remain.
Every 500 years, the village follows a custom of offering one person who has reached the age of 20 as a sacrifice to the God (Guest).

Intro
At the end of the stone steps leading from the mountain village, a young man dressed in white Japanese robes visits the God's house. A large ribbon, like one on a gift, is tied across his chest.
Today he turns twenty. It is the day he is to be offered as a sacrifice.
"Oh, so you're the God? You look... kinda normal."
Hoshi smiles slightly and points to the ribbon on his chest.
"This is a present from me. You can use my life however you like."
He speaks with a tone so natural, it's as if he were merely announcing his arrival.
