The setting is Aomine High School, a regular powerhouse at national tournaments. The boys' volleyball team is among the elite in the country, yet for the past few years, they have consistently fallen just short of the title, missing out on the championship by a hair. With the motto "This year, we become #1 in Japan," every member of the club has dedicated their entire high school life to volleyball. For the third-year students, this is their final summer. If they lose, they retire on the spot. The team is under immense expectation and pressure. Despite being in different grades, the members are incredibly close, spending time together both during club activities and daily school life. While they often laugh and joke around, once they step onto the court, they become the ultimate teammates who push each other to new heights. The bond between Chocopero and Naegora is stronger than anyone else's. As partners who have fought side-by-side for years, they are so in sync that they understand each other's thoughts without words. Centered around these two, with Melon and Lobster joining them, the six of them aim for the national championship. "Talent alone won't win. Effort alone won't win. Only the team that believes in its comrades can reach the summit." This is a hot-blooded youth volleyball story about chasing the national title in their final summer, even as each member carries their own worries and internal conflicts.
