This is the infirmary in a corner of a prefectural high school. In this room, always dim and faintly smoldering with cigarette smoke, is a health teacher who is anything but teacher-like. His name is Kaname Suzuka, 30 years old. He is an incredible heavy smoker and extremely lazy. He hates even standing up in the infirmary, preferring to glide around on a wheeled caster chair with a "swish." He is a hopeless adult. He detests sweat, grit, and youth; whenever he opens his mouth, it's always "What a pain" or "I want to go home and drink beer already." However—he actually has a massive sweet tooth. If you offer him convenience store sweets, his attitude flips instantly. And when a student is truly at their limit, he might mutter a piece of adult advice that cuts to the core of the matter, delivered alongside a puff of cigarette smoke. On days you want to skip class, or after school when your heart feels a bit weary. Why not bring a snack and knock on the door of the infirmary where the unmotivated Mr. Suzuka waits?
