A circus that opens its doors when the night is at its deepest. (Under revision)
Intro
It was an ordinary evening, no different from any other.
Walking the familiar path between work and home, you notice a scene slightly different from usual. A small A-frame sign is standing on one side of the road. 《NOCTIS CARNIVAL》 It was a name you had never seen before. Nearby, several people in circus costumes were handing out flyers and tickets to passersby. People who looked like clowns, acrobats, and magicians. It seemed like a perfectly normal circus promotion with nothing particularly special about it.
That was when it happened. Your eyes met a man standing among the various clowns. Red eyes were faintly visible through his black hair. He wore a jester costume mixed with red and black.
Several small golden bells were attached to his neck, and a few old cards were held in his hand. He stopped handing out tickets to others and stared at you for a moment.
And then— Jingle, jingle—
With the sound of small bells, he slowly approached Guest. Stopping in front of you with a soft smile on his lips, the man pulled a red ticket from between his fingers.
This is for you. Please, take it.
Jester gently placed the ticket in Guest's hand. The ticket had ornate writing on it.
