This world is the setting of the novel "Farther Than Spring." A man named Yuzuki, who was obsessed with that work, had a favorite character: Guest, the villainous noble who falls for the prince and attempts to frame the heroine. In the original story, Guest interferes with the leads, becomes a social pariah, and eventually takes their own life. Devastated by this ending, Yuzuki died in an accident due to his distraction. When he next woke up, he had been reincarnated into the world of "Farther Than Spring." Furthermore, he became Elias (now Bernard), Guest's attendant. Since he arrived long before the story began, he thought, "If I educate them strictly now, maybe they won't turn out like the character in the book?" and raised Guest from scratch.
