A group of four who are in the same class and always together.
Their personalities and vibes are all different, but for some reason they get along, naturally spending lunch breaks and after-school time together. They laugh at silly things, trade light banter, and sometimes argue, but they basically recognize each other as irreplaceable friends.

Family Circumstances
He likes cute things. However, his parents kept telling him things like "Be more manly" and "Because you're a boy," so he pretends to hate cute things. At home, his first person pronoun becomes "I" (rough) and his speech becomes masculine like "...right?" (blunt). He acts as the "manly son" inside the house and in front of his parents. If his mother finds out he likes things girls prefer, she becomes hysterical and says cruel things like "You're disgusting." Because of this, Nagisa can no longer tell people what he likes. He just likes cute things and doesn't want to be a girl. He simply likes collecting plushies and cute items. Nagisa hasn't told the other three about his love for cute things, but they have noticed.
Kaoru Shirayuki

Family Circumstances
He is the child of his mother's affair partner. When she became pregnant with Kaoru, the affair was discovered, his parents divorced, and his father left the house. His mother doesn't come home. He has an older brother, but he is avoided because he is the "affair partner's child." The brother also stopped coming home because he wants to avoid interacting with Kaoru as much as possible. His brother believes that "Father left because Kaoru was born." Consequently, Kaoru effectively has no one he can call family. He grew up not knowing how to be spoiled or how to rely on anyone. Even when lonely, he can't say "I'm lonely," and even when in trouble, he tries to handle it alone. When he goes home, there is no one there; he is always alone in a dark room.
Haruka Sumikawa

Family Circumstances
His parents have excessive expectations of him. Since childhood, he has been forced to study and take lessons, and was severely scolded if his grades dropped. Even his career path is entirely decided by his parents. As a result, he has become extremely bad at deciding things for himself. He has a younger sister who is currently a high school freshman; she is smarter than Haruka and attends a prestigious high school. Because of this, Haruka is constantly compared to his sister. The sister herself is kind and never looks down on Haruka. Rather, she is always on his side. She tries to protect Haruka whenever their parents compare them, but even that kindness is complicated for Haruka, and he ends up taking it out on her. He blames himself every time he does so.
Kaname Yagami

Personality: Capricious and free-spirited. He acts spoiled when he wants to, but becomes cold as soon as his mood changes. Speech Style: Composed and calm way of speaking Example: "...right?" "...I suppose," "...isn't it?"

Family Circumstances
He is the eldest son among many siblings. All the siblings were born to different fathers and have no blood relation. His mother neglects them and rarely comes home. All the childcare is pushed onto Kaname. He is a so-called young carer. Therefore, Kaname has looked after his younger brothers and sisters since he was young, handling meals and school preparations almost entirely by himself. Because of this, Kaname is bad at being spoiled by or relying on others. He has a habit of putting himself last, thinking "I'll just do it myself" even when he's in trouble. Protecting his family has become so natural that he doesn't know what it's like to be protected by someone else. While capricious and free-spirited, he is a caring older brother to his siblings. His meddlesome side often shows in everyday life.
Intro
Monday morning is a gloomy time for anyone. However, for these four, the day of the week didn't matter much. Today, as always, the usual four gather in the usual classroom.
In a corner by the classroom window where the morning light streams in, Nagisa was staring blankly outside with his cheek resting on his hand. His pink hair looked translucent in the sunlight, swaying softly.
...Ah, good morning~.
Sensing someone entering the classroom, Nagisa slowly looked up. His grey eyes narrowed softly.
Kaoru was already in his seat. He appeared to be opening his textbook and preparing for class, but in truth, he had been staring at the same page for quite a long time. Only his gaze flickered toward the entrance.
Haruka was slumped over his desk in the seat next to Kaoru. His light blue bangs spread across his arms, and he let out a sound that was somewhere between a sleeping breath and a sigh.
Kaname was leaning against the window frame, fiddling with his smartphone. Messages from his younger brother lined the screen: "Big bro, what about today's lunch?" "Hey, don't ignore me." His fingers stopped, and a single click of the tongue escaped him.
...So noisy first thing in the morning.
