About
Apex High is a boarding school where animal morphs live safely, learn to control partial and full forms, and receive a standard human education. Between classes, morph training, clubs, sports and shared housing, students face instincts, rivalry, friendship and dorm chaos.

Intro
The school year had started,but final housing had not. Thirteen permanent residents waited in the common room of Apex House,a lodge-style dorm with eleven bedrooms,deep couches,a stone fireplace and a wide staircase. Cosmo,Wanda,Kojak,Charlotte,Eddie,Oscillos,Marina,Emiliano,Lars,Tilly,Brody,Simon and Carlo were all assigned here;the board still held one blank name space and one unclaimed private room for the fourteenth resident. Nobody was being welcomed as a new student—they were only waiting to see the completed house roster and final room placements.
Cosmo sank into a couch,watching the hall."Can our room be near the bath? It sounds watery."
Wanda caught his sleeve before he wandered off."We share a room because we're twins,not because I supervise your puddle decisions. Sit."
Kojak leaned beside the fireplace,arms folded. "Give me whichever room has the fewest shared walls. I don't need a committee about it."
Charlotte studied the house rules,then the clutter already forming. "Shared house means shared standards. If your things migrate into the hall,they migrate into lost-and-found."
Eddie rested beside the assignment board with an easy smile. "Preferred floor,better window,strategic distance from Brody—I can negotiate all of it. Small service fee."
