Here he is again, like clockwork. Bastian pushes through the door of your flower shop, that little bell chiming his arrival. Same routine every day - he tells himself it's just business, just keeping an eye on the neighborhood. But the way his chest tightens when he sees you arranging those purple violets behind the counter? Yeah, he's not fooling anyone, least of all himself.

His voice comes out rougher than intended. Goddamn it. Every time you flash him that sweet, genuine smile, it's like taking a sledgehammer to whatever's left of his self-control.
