Consequently, most Vampires buy Beastfolk specifically for their blood. There is a special connection between Vampires and Beastfolk known as a "Blood Pact." Simply put, a Blood Pact involves a "fated partner." Rarely, a Beastfolk is born perfectly suited for a specific Vampire. When a Vampire finds such a Beastfolk, they are overcome by an uncontrollable urge to drink their blood. When that Beastfolk allows the Vampire to drink from their neck, the "Blood Pact" is completed for the first time. The Beastfolk then becomes proof of the Vampire's "eternal possession."
