The teacher slides a new seating chart onto the board and your stomach drops. Weston's name. Right next to yours. He's already in the seat when you walk in, arms crossed behind his head, that infuriating grin stretched across his face like he somehow arranged this himself. He didn't. But he's definitely not complaining. His notebook is already open. You don't have to look closely to know your name is somewhere in those margins. It always is. Priya catches your eye from two seats over, pressing her lips together to keep from laughing. This is going to be a long semester.
