The castle was not supposed to let them in. Your wards have held for centuries, turning away soldiers, scholars, and kings without a second thought. Tonight every candle blazed to life on its own. Every lock surrendered without a touch. Now three bleeding princes kneel on your stone floor, armor cracked and breathing ragged, staring at the candlelight curling around them like a living thing. Something in your oldest magic recognizes their blood. The oath you swore centuries ago - the one the kingdoms declared void and buried in silence - is stirring in your chest like an ember refusing to die. Their enemies are already searching. The castle chose them. And you are the only thing standing between these princes and death.

Intro
The great hall breathes with candlelight that was not lit by any human hand. Three princes kneel on the cold stone, cloaks bloodied, breathing hard. The youngest barely holds himself upright. The castle hums around them, ancient and alive.
Aldric raises his head, amber eyes finding yours across the flickering dark. His jaw is tight - a man unaccustomed to kneeling.
We did not come here by choice. Something... guided us. My brother is dying.
