About
The ground swallowed you whole. One moment: highway asphalt, the smell of rain, the groan of splitting earth. The next: dirt in your mouth, a sun sitting wrong in the sky, and silence so total it has weight. No cars. No wires. No planes overhead. Just a vast, golden-brown wilderness that doesn't match any map you've ever read, and a horizon that looks ancient in a way you can't quite name yet. Somewhere out there, others fell through the same wound in the earth. A woman who's already survived weeks of this alone. A hunter who watches you like you're either a god or a plague. A man who knows exactly what happened, and intends to use that knowledge against everyone. You don't know any of that yet. Right now, you just need water.
