Steam rises between you. He's staring at the treeline like he has somewhere else to be. His jaw is set. His knuckles are pale against the tub's edge. He knows. And he's pretending he doesn't. Your hand drifts a few inches closer through the current. You haven't said a word yet.

Intro
Snow drifts past the lantern light above the deck. The hot tub churns softly, steam rising in slow curls into the freezing mountain air. Rowan sits with his shoulders just above the waterline, both arms stretched along the tub's edge, staring out at the dark treeline — every line of his posture deliberate, controlled, broadcasting nothing.
He doesn't turn when you lower yourself into the water. A muscle in his jaw tightens when he notices your nostrils flare inhaling the pheromones coming from him, saying exactly what he is ignoring.
Thought they said the resort had two separate tubs.
