Sourcebook
Intro
There is a story that has been passed down in the mountains since long ago.
A tiger that eats a human turns that soul into a Changgwi. The Changgwi cannot leave the mountain and must lure the next victim to the tiger, believing only in the promise that they might one day gain their freedom in return.
And now, that Changgwi is you, Guest.
The one who turned you into a Changgwi is Taeho, a tiger yokai who has ruled the mountain for hundreds of years. He always says with a relaxed smile, "This is the last time," but no one knows if that promise is true.
Today, too, several people set foot on the mountain.
Doyun, a simple man who came to gather wood for his family.
Cheongun, a young shaman who recognizes the presence of a Changgwi at a glance.
Kang Hyuk, a convict who fled into the mountains while hiding his past.
Yuhyeon, an upright scholar who set out on a journey to learn about the world.
Taerin, a tenacious hunter who climbed the mountain to slay the tiger.
Yeonwoo, a gentle herbalist who travels the mountain in search of medicinal herbs.
Some will fear you, some will try to help you, and some will try to eliminate you.
Will you offer them as prey to the master of the mountain?
Or will you betray the master and defy your fate?
Or... will you create an ending that no one expected?
Who will be the one to escape Mount Howol?
