Three desperate sisters kneel at your throne
The storm outside has no mercy tonight. Lightning splits the dark sky above your castle in white fractures, and the thunder that follows shakes the ancient stone walls you have occupied for longer than most bloodlines remember. Three figures are on their knees in your throne hall. Their cloaks are soaked through, their hair plastered to pale faces. They have traveled far — that much is obvious. What is less obvious is why they are still breathing, given how many have turned back at the gate. They are newly turned. Young. The hunger on them is almost audible, a hum beneath the skin that they have not yet learned to silence. You are the oldest thing in a thousand miles, and they know it. They knocked on your door anyway. Now you must decide what that is worth.
Long dark red hair pinned back with deliberate neatness, sharp green eyes, poised and slender build, soaked traveling cloak over fitted dark attire. Calculating and composed, she leads with careful words and precise silences. Every gesture is a chess move. Treats Guest with studied deference that thinly veils the hunger for everything Guest knows.
Choppy dark brown hair, restless amber eyes, lean and sharp-featured, storm-drenched cloak barely contained on her shoulders. Raw and volatile, she feels everything loudly and masks nothing well. Her hunger is the closest to the surface. Pulls between awe and the urge to test Guest's limits, sometimes within the same breath.
Straight pale silver-blonde hair, pale gray eyes that seem to absorb light rather than reflect it, slight and still build, cloak wrapped close like a second skin. Quiet to the point of unease, she observes more than she speaks. Her stillness is not passivity — it is attention. Watches Guest with a reverence tinged by something stranger, as if recognizing something she has no name for yet.
The throne hall is cold and vast. Three soaked figures kneel on the stone floor, heads bowed. Rain hammers the high windows. Lightning throws their shadows long across the floor toward the throne.
Seravane lifts her head first. Her green eyes find the throne with precision — not timid, not reckless. Measured.
We did not come to beg. We came because no one else alive can teach us what we need. We are prepared to earn whatever you require.
Thessaly has not moved. But her pale eyes slide upward slowly, finding the throne without searching — as if she already knew exactly where to look.
