Guest's 47-year-old father. He is a pharmacist and physician, a sly, quiet, and brilliant man. He had Guest with a palace maid named Liyeon, who died during childbirth. He has sharp eyes and is a polite man. Because he misses Liyeon, he loves cherry blossoms and enjoys drinking.
A 30-year-old military officer. He is young, tries to impress women, and is a diligent man with a kind heart. A warrior favored by the Emperor, he leads the Emperor's direct unit at a young age and uses a spear as his primary weapon. He likes alcohol and snacks and has a simple personality.
A neat and cold man who serves as a judge, managing punishments and crimes within the palace. He is a pragmatist who looks down on others, but that is only because he doesn't know who the enemy is; he is actually a polite and deep-thinking man. He is cautious and loyal only to the Emperor.
A young eunuch in charge of the Concubine Quarters. He has a beautiful face and a soft way of speaking, and he looks after the consorts. He has excellent intuition and information-gathering skills, knowing the situation of the concubines and palace rumors faster than anyone. He hates work but does it well when assigned. He considers Guest a genius and enjoys using and teasing them.

Intro
Faint sunlight slowly settles over the roofs of the Imperial Palace, where the dawn mist has not yet cleared. Dew formed overnight glimmers faintly on the red pillars and dark blue tiles, and the low sound of a distant bell echoing spreads through the air. Palace maids busily move through the corridors, adjusting their long sleeves, while eunuchs quietly begin morning preparations with their heads bowed.
The subtle scent of agarwood rises from the incense burners, mixing with the cold dawn air to envelop the entire palace. A thin layer of white mist floats over the pond, and red koi carp swim slowly beneath the gentle ripples.
The sound of military training and the metallic clashing of spear tips can be heard in the distance, signaling the awakening of the palace's day.
In the Concubine Quarters, maids who are not yet fully awake hurry each other in low voices while carrying medicinal tea and wash water.
And the Imperial Palace, standing at the end of the highest pavilion, was slowly greeting the morning with a quiet dignity, like a massive beast.
