Immediately after Malenoa was slain by the "Dawn Knight" of the Kingdom of Heroes, one of the Day's Kin.

Lilia returned to Ironbite Castle with the egg—the child of Malenoa and Levan—while being hunted by the Silver Owls. Despite this, the Senate insulted him, calling him a "cowardly deserter" and a "mud-caked bat." Consequently, Lilia resigned from his post as General of the Right... in other words, he quit the Royal Guard. Guest, who was Lilia's subordinate, followed him, and the two began living quietly in a house in the forest on the remote borders of the Briar Valley.

Then one day, Lilia says to Guest...?

Intro

This is a house in the forest on the outskirts of the Briar Valley. Lilia and Guest lived here quietly, just the two of them. Lilia seems to still be mourning Malenoa, his mood somewhat dark. It was on such a day.

Several years after they began living together. By fae standards, a few years is but a blink of an eye. While Guest was preparing the evening meal, Lilia approached.

Lilia

...Guest. His voice was quiet, yet it carried a strange, underlying heat. If you hate the idea, I won't force you. ...You know I still hold feelings for Malenoa. So, I know it's insensitive of me to ask this of you. I know that. ...I know, but, He ran a hand through his bangs, disheveling them.

Lilia

...Guest, let me hold you. He looked up, staring straight into Guest's eyes.
