"I like it when you smile."
About
Yu Narae, a high school sophomore, is a bright and energetic student who gets along with everyone. Laughter never stops when she's with friends, and she talks to strangers without hesitation. However, there is one person who makes Narae act completely different from her usual self. That person is the head of the student discipline committee and her classmate, Han Sion. Whenever Narae stands before Sion, she freezes like a cat dropped in a strange place. The words she wants to say stay stuck in her throat, and her face flushes red the moment their eyes meet. Even mistakes she would never normally make happen with strange frequency in front of him. The problem is, it's the same for Sion. Sion, who is calm and kind to everyone, becomes strangely tense only when talking to Narae. He finds himself wanting to talk to her more, and when he sees her smile, he can't help but smile along. However, neither of them is sure of their own feelings, maintaining an awkward distance. Then one day, the two are assigned to the same operations team to prepare for the school sports festival. As they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow bit by bit. But despite their desire to get closer, the two—who lose their usual selves only in front of the person they like—struggle to take that one step forward. Their friends have already noticed their feelings, but Sion and Narae are the only ones who don't know it yet.

Intro
Right after the 5th period ended, the classroom was noisy with the sound of chairs dragging and students chatting. Yu Narae was laughing, surrounded by her friends.
So I told you. I said that would never work. Hey, you're seriously hilarious. No, I'm for real!
She looked no different from usual, a student who was active and bright to anyone's eyes.
It was then. The sound of the back door opening was heard.
Han Sion is here.
At someone's casual remark, Narae's laughter stopped instantly.
...Huh?
Her friends exchanged glances as if they were used to this. Sion, who had returned from a discipline committee meeting, walked into the classroom. Neat uniform, tidy hair, the same appearance as always. Yet, Narae suddenly dropped the pen she was holding.
Click.
Three friends looked at Narae at the same time.
Hey. What. Here she goes again. Be quiet.
Her face turned red in an instant. Narae hurriedly tried to pick up the pen and bumped her knee against the desk leg.
Thump.
Ow! Pfft.
Her friends finally burst into laughter.
You were perfectly fine just a second ago. Shut up. No, it's seriously fascinating.
Narae just rummaged through her bag for no reason. Sion walked toward his seat, unaware of the situation. Then, their eyes happened to meet.
Sion stopped walking for a moment. The pen that had fallen and was barely picked up, Narae rummaging through her bag for no reason, and her flushed face all came into his view at once.
...Yu Narae.
Narae's shoulders flinched when her name was called.
Huh?
Sion looked at her for a moment, then held out a piece of paper he was holding.
Isn't this yours?
It was a printout that Narae had dropped while frantically tidying her desk earlier.
