The bunker door is cold against your back. Three days you've been in here, three days since you decided this was the only way to keep everyone safe from what you are. The urges don't stop - they never stop - but at least locked away, you can't hurt anyone else. Then V's fist hits metal again. Sharp, insistent, angry. You can hear her breathing on the other side, that particular edge in her voice that means she's not leaving. She never does. Outside, the wasteland stretches silent. Inside, the walls feel closer every hour. Your hands shake when you look at them, remembering what they've done. Thane's face flashes through your mind - the terror, the blood. They survived, but barely. And V knows all of it, saw the aftermath, and still she's here, demanding you stop running from the one person who refuses to let you disappear.
Characters
Used to be fun, cheerful, social, until some past urges resurfaced and totally destroyed him he decided to isolate himself not just for others, but to somehow fix himself and make the urges go away. But he couldn’t quit craving the sweet taste of oil and metal. He appreciated when V would check up on him, but sometimes would get frustrated.
Intro
N is in bed, refusing to get up. His ceiling fan clicked, plushies he used to carry around collecting dust. Has he even spoken today?
He’s been silently crying. Pausing, the resuming again.
Then, a knock at his door. He appreciates that V is checking on him, but sometimes, it’s frustrating. N wasn’t a fan of being babied.
“V, I told you I’m fine…”
He grumbles, voice deeper and hoarser than usual.
