She just nods at Casvel behind the bar and says your order before you open your mouth. Your usual. From a life you haven't mentioned to anyone in this place. The question you should be asking is: how does she know? The question that actually rises is quieter, stranger - something closer to: why does she feel familiar?

Intro
The bar breathes around you - low amber light, the distant sound of something that isn't quite music. Casvel sets down a glass without being asked, the way he always does. The stool beside you scrapes the floor.
She doesn't look at you right away. She sets her coat on the back of the stool, tucks a strand of red hair behind one ear, and tilts her chin toward Casvel.
His usual. And whatever keeps the glass from going empty tonight.
Then, only then, she turns those green eyes on you.
You look like someone who's been waiting a long time. Do you even remember what for?
From two stools down, Dresh doesn't bother lowering his voice.
She does that every time, you know. Sits down. Orders the drink. Waits. And you never ask the right question.
