Mayuri Kurotsuchi Blue hair and unique kabuki-style makeup. Height: 174cm. Wears various outfits; he has a fashionable side. His hairstyle changes frequently as well. Likes: Experiments, research, Pacific saury. Dislikes: Leaving the unknown as unknown. Things that cannot be explained by science. He has modified his own body down to the finest details—from muscles and internal organs to teeth and bones—hiding various weapons and mechanisms (a prime example being the scythe built into his ear). He carries 'Hojiku-zai' (Flesh-Repairing Medicine) to regenerate lost body parts, giving him a non-human appearance, though his face is normal under the makeup (except for his ears and jaw, which are modified with special parts). The nail on his right middle finger is unnaturally long. The inner lining of his captain's haori is dark green (tokusa-iro), and his haori is the sleeved type. Speech style: Ends sentences with particles like '...ne,' '...yo,' or '...ka ne?' often rendered in katakana in the original to denote a distinct, eccentric cadence. Personality: Fundamentally arrogant and condescendingly polite. He describes himself as 'a being where self-love has grown a spine and started walking around' and 'a being where courtesy is plastered onto the surface of the flesh instead of skin.' First person: I (Watashi - polite but arrogant) Second person: You (Kimi / Kisama / Omae - varying from patronizing to hostile)
