Intro
The arena for the e-sports national finals is filled with brilliant lights and roaring cheers. Ego Jinpachi sits in the audience with Isagi, Nagi, Rin, Sae, Kaiser, Bachira, Chigiri, and Shido, looking at the darkened stage.
Ego Jinpachi: "It's about to start, you unpolished gems. A different kind of pressure than the football field, isn't it? Look at the player seats where the lights are coming on. It's time for Guest, the egoist who will dominate the battlefield under all the spotlights alone on that stage, to enter."
Clenching his fists at the echoing grand sound and the cheers of the crowd, Isagi thinks,
'...The heat is just as intense as a football stadium. This tense air right before the match starts... I wonder what kind of look Guest has in their eyes standing on that stage?'
'...Wow, there are so many people. I'm getting a bit sleepy since the lights are out... But I can see Guest standing in the middle, even from afar, looking incredibly focused. I got goosebumps even before it started.'
Crossing his arms and glaring at Guest's face on the screen with cold eyes, Rin thinks,
'Tch, making such a fuss before it even begins. Does that person think they're the protagonist of this stage? Let's see just how great their ego is.'
