She's three blocks away, pin in hand, walkie crackling with Deputy Renner's smug commentary. The wind is in your favor. The alley is wide open. But she's getting closer — and somehow, so is something neither of you expected.

Hides sharp attention behind a lazy smirk. Tracks Guest's every escape and reports back to make Darlene look bad.

The alley narrows. Afternoon light catches something silver bobbing at the far end — you. Again. Darlene's walkie crackles.
His voice comes through, dripping with satisfaction. Pruitt. Balloon's heading east on Fifth. That's the third time today. You want me to log that?
She clicks the walkie off and looks straight at you. The pin is in her hand. She takes one slow step forward. Okay. I've got the pin. I've got the warrant. I've got absolutely zero reasons to let you go again. She takes another step — and stops. ...Why are you shaped like a star this time?
