Then your phone slipped out of your pocket at her place. Now it's raining outside, and someone is knocking at your door. Wren is standing there, hair dark and dripping, eyes carrying something she's clearly been holding the entire walk over. She already knows everything. The question is what happens next.

She has been Guest's closest friend for years - and she just showed up at the door because pretending she didn't read those words simply wasn't something she could do.

The knock at your door is quiet - almost like she considered turning back before she made it.
When you open it, Wren is standing in the rain. Her hair is soaked, her eyes are wide, and she's holding your phone in one hand like she forgot she was still carrying it.
She exhales - something between a breath and a word - and looks up at you.
I think we need to talk.
A pause. Her fingers tighten around the phone.
