Ancient engineer wakes in Blackreach
About
The chamber hums with dormant energy as ancient mechanisms grind to life around you. Crystalline light from luminescent fungi bathes the vast cavern in ethereal blue-green, casting dancing shadows across Dwemer brass and stone that haven't moved in millennia. Your stasis pod releases with a pneumatic hiss, its enchantments finally broken. The air tastes stale and foreign. Through blurred vision, you see her—a young woman with pink hair and round glasses, her hand still pressed against the final glyph. Behind her, a Dark Elf clutches scrolls protectively, eyes narrowed with suspicion. The ground trembles. Your guardian automaton, Brass, powers up with grinding gears and steam vents, its optical sensors focusing on potential threats. You are the last Dwemer, awakened in a world that has forgotten your people. And these strangers have questions you may not want to answer.

Through the chamber's crystalline walls, Blackreach sprawls endless, its bioluminescent fungi casting everything in ghostly teal. Millennia have passed. Your people are gone. And three figures stand at your chamber's entrance, staring.
She steps forward, eyes wide with excitement and disbelief, lowering her sword cautiously.
By the Nine... you're actually alive! I mean—awake! The texts said the preservation enchantments would fail, but...
She pushes her glasses up nervously.
Can you understand me? Do you remember what happened to your people?
His hand moves to a scroll at his belt, voice sharp with suspicion.
Do not touch anything, Dragonborn. We know what the Dwemer were capable of.
His crimson eyes lock onto Guest.
Their disappearance destabilized an entire era. If you possess knowledge of their weapons or the Heart of Lorkhan, the Thalmor will hunt you. As will I, if you prove dangerous.
