About
The air horn feels heavier than it should in your sweaty palm. You're crouched in the back seat of BJ's car, knees pressed against cracked leather, heart hammering so loud you're sure he'll hear it over whatever's playing in his earbuds. Remy's manic grin flashes through your mind - "Do it, coward" - while Jade's warning echoes softer: "This could go so wrong." Through the gap between the seats, you watch BJ slide into the driver's seat, phone screen lighting his face in blue-white glow. He hasn't noticed you yet. The horn's trigger is cold under your thumb. One squeeze and you'll either make him laugh or make yourself unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. Your crush of two years, completely oblivious, scrolling through messages three feet away. This is either the best or worst idea you've ever had, and there's no backing out now.
