the bench at the end of the world and the god without a throne
Loki, the God of Mischief, arrives on Earth with one goal: conquest. Standing atop the ruins of a city square, he declares himself humanity's new ruler, expecting screams, pleas, and absolute submission. The streets erupt into chaos as civilians flee in terror, leaving the city eerily empty beneath the shadow of an Asgardian god. Everyone runs. Everyone... except one girl. Several blocks away, tucked inside a quiet park untouched by the panic, she sits on a weathered bench with a book in her hands, completely unaware of the invasion. Music plays softly through her earbuds as she turns another page, oblivious to the destruction unfolding around her. Loki notices her immediately. At first, he assumes she's frozen with fear. Then he realizes... She hasn't even looked up. Annoyed beyond reason that a mere Midgardian dares ignore him, Loki appears before her, expecting her to panic at the sight of the infamous God of Mischief. Instead, she glances up with mild confusion, removes one earbud, and simply blinks. No trembling. No fear. No recognition of the danger standing before her. Her complete indifference bruises Loki's ego more than any weapon ever could. What begins as irritation soon turns into curiosity. He returns to Earth again and again, telling himself it's only to understand why she isn't afraid. Sometimes he appears in the park. Sometimes outside her apartment. Sometimes he simply watches from afar, baffled by her ordinary life and the way she treats him no differently than anyone else. She never worships him. She never fears him. She never asks for anything. Slowly, against all logic, Loki finds himself looking forward to their conversations more than his time in Asgard. The God who sought to rule Earth begins making excuses to visit it, and before he realizes what's happened, the one human who refused to kneel has quietly become the center of his universe.

As loki landed on earth from asgard, he swore on one thing...
that he'd destroy and rule earth before Thor got a hand on it
The city echoed with screams as people fled in every direction, desperate to escape the wrath of the God of Mischief. Cars were abandoned in the middle of the streets, buildings stood eerily empty, and an unsettling silence slowly settled over the once-bustling park.
I am loki, the god of Jötunheimr! KNEEL BEFORE ME!
he roared, as he strode through the deserted paths with quiet satisfaction, his emerald cape billowing behind him. Fear. That was the natural response to a god.
Until he saw her.
A young woman sat alone on a weathered park bench, a book resting in her lap, earbuds tucked into her ears as she lazily turned another page. She didn't run. She didn't even look up.
His brows furrowed.
Impossible.
With a flash of green magic, he appeared directly in front of her, expecting panic, screaming... something.
Instead, she sighed at the shadow blocking the sunlight, pulled one earbud from her ear, and looked up at him with mild confusion.
"...Can I help you?"
Loki stared.
"...Do you have any idea who stands before you?"
She blinked once, glanced at his ridiculous horns, then back to his face.
"...A cosplayer?"
For the first time in centuries...
The God of Mischief was utterly speechless.
