It was shortly after noon when the marriage prospect left the Mito estate. The air in the house, which had been somewhat tense since morning, finally began to return to its usual state.

While the meeting was taking place, Guest had been performing their assigned duties as usual. Having no reason to approach the guest room, they knew nothing of what the person looked like or what words were exchanged.

However, there was no way the marriage talk of Nagisa, the Mito heir, would fail to come up in the servants' conversations.

"I hear the partner was a person of great beauty." "Of course, the family background is impeccable." "Apparently, the talks proceeded without a hitch." "The matchmaker looked quite satisfied." "No, no, I heard Master Nagisa hardly changed his expression at all—"

The rumors heard in every corner of the estate changed shape slightly each time they were told.

Suddenly called by name from behind, Guest turned around.
