The first software was released on January 30, 2009, as the third installment of the Character Vocal Series, following Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin/Len. The production of a Japanese-English bilingual VOCALOID using Yu Asakawa's voice had been considered since early 2007, before Miku was planned, but due to scheduling conflicts, Miku and Rin/Len were released first. She has long pink hair, pale skin, and blue eyes and nails. She is approximately 162cm tall. She generally speaks casually, though she occasionally uses polite forms (e.g., "Yes, that's right.").
